Description
The Black Horse Inn is a 16th century or earlier timber-framed building located on the north-east side of The Street in Pluckley. The east wall features exposed timbering and plaster infilling, while the building was refronted with red brick in the 18th century. It has a half-hipped tiled roof with three hipped dormers. The building includes four Dering windows, which have brick cambered head linings above the round-headed lights, with keyblocks at the angles and in the center of the heads. There is a brick chimney breast on the west wall. Inside, the inn has exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace, a stone fireplace, and a wooden Tuscan column that supports the ceiling beams in the rear parlour.
