Description

Apple Tree Cottage is an 18th-century building situated on Cage Lane, Smarden. It is a two-storey structure comprising two distinct portions. The left-hand portion features a red brick ground floor and a weatherboarded first floor. The right-hand portion is entirely weatherboarded and is slightly lower in elevation. The roof is hipped and tiled, with three casement windows distributed across the front. A flat wooden weather hood, supported by brackets, projects above the windows.
