Description

Institute Cottage is likely a late medieval hall-house. It has two storeys, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and the upper floor tile-hung. The building features a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof, which includes a 17th-century chimney stack and smoke louvres. There are two horizontally-sliding sash windows, and a catslide roof is present at the rear.
