Description

The Kings Head, originally called the King's Head Inn, is a public house located in Hothfield. The rear section to the west dates from the 17th century or earlier and is timber-framed, with red brick refacing on the south side and a tiled pentice on the north side. The east wing was added in 1834 and consists of two parallel ranges running north and south. This part is two storeys high and built of red brick, with the south wall being tile-hung. The east range features a slate roof, while the west range has a tiled roof. The building has three sashes with intact glazing bars, and the ground floor windows are triple sashes with cambered heads. A gabled porch includes a stone inscribed "WR 1834".
