Description

Longthorne Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber frame and is pebble-dashed, topped with a plain tiled roof. Originally a hall house, it now has a lobby entry. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a hipped roof that has gablets and a central stack. On the first floor, there are two tripartite wooden casements, while the ground floor has two large glazing bar sash windows. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels and is set within a glazed and gabled 20th-century porch. Inside, the full frame is visible, and the roof structure shows signs of being smoke blackened.
