Description
Link House is a Grade II* listed building, recognized as one of the finest examples of a Kentish yeoman's hall-house of Wealden pattern, dating from the 15th century. This timber-framed structure features close-studding with plaster infilling that has been colourwashed. The first floor of the end window bays extends outward, supported by the protruding ends of the floor joists and brackets. The eaves overhang on curved braces and a central bracket. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. It includes casement windows with diamond-shaped or small square leaded panes. The nearly central bay contains a window with six lights on both the ground and first floors, with the ground floor window featuring two tiers of lights supported by wooden mullions and transoms. There is a pointed wooden doorway and a brick chimney breast located on the north wall.
