Description

Old Harrow Farmhouse is a timber-framed building, likely dating from the 16th century or earlier. It has a stone base and the walls are close-studded with plaster infilling, colour-washed yellow. The first floor projects outwards, supported by a moulded bressumer and brackets. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in tiles. The ground floor has two bays, each containing a casement window with two tiers of six lights, mullions, and transoms, flanked by smaller, narrow windows at the upper tier’s level. Two similar oriel windows are positioned above the first floor, projecting on brackets and also flanked by small windows. A single additional window is located centrally above the first floor.
