Description
The Peninsular Barracks Guardroom, built in 1833 and located on the south side of Romsey Road, is a Grade II listed building. It is constructed of red brick with patterned stone dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof. The guardroom is a single-storey structure featuring an eight-column Roman Doric colonnade along the front. It has sash windows with glazing bars. The buildings of Peninsular Barracks form a group, contributing to the historical significance of the area.
