Description
Tavern Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century with 20th-century alterations. It features a timber frame with colourwashed plaster and brick infill, a weatherboarded outshot, and a thatched roof. The cottage has two bays and is one and a half storeys high. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of the centre at the end of the right bay. To the right of the door are two 19th-century two-light casement windows, with two more to the left and one in the left weatherboarded outshot. Above the left bay is a large 20th-century gable with a two-light casement window. All windows are leaded. The roof is hipped and sweeps down, with a ridge stack positioned above the door.
