Description

This is an 18th-century building, likely dating to the late 1700s. It is a two-story property on the east side of St Cross Road. The exterior walls are stuccoed and feature a moulded string course below the parapet. The slate roof covers the first floor. It has four windows, including a wide, segmental bay window with strip pilasters and a plain entablature. The ground floor has four windows and a centrally located door. The door is a flush six-panel design with reveals, set within a doorcase featuring fluted pilasters and a flat, molded hood. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The building was restored in 1973. It forms a group with numbers 53 to 63 (odd) on the same side of the road.
