Description

This is a terrace of four houses, dating from the 1830s. The houses are built of brick with a plastered front, and have a slate roof with gabled ends and deep eaves. Brick stacks are located along the centre of the terrace.

The layout is of a terrace of four single-bay houses, with each house containing an entrance hall to the right of the front room.

The east front is regular, with eight bays. The houses have large sash windows with glazing bars and margin panes, set within moulded architraves. Above the doorway on the first floor of each house is a blind window. The doorways have simple stuccoed porticoes with cornices, and panelled doors. The door and windows at No.18 have been replaced. A late 19th-century rear wing was added to No.18.

The interior of No.18 has been significantly altered.

The terrace is a good example of a group of small late Georgian houses.
