Description

The Butter Cross is a tall, multi-pinnacled cross located on the High Street, dating from the early 15th century. It was restored by George Gilbert Scott in 1865 and stands on a stepped plinth. The Butter Cross is part of a group that includes the Old Market House and Nos 25 to 50 on the same street.
