Description
Denmead Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with a mid-19th century rear extension. The front walls are made of brick in Flemish bond with blue headers, featuring rubbed flat arches and brick dentil eaves. The other walls are constructed of flint with brick quoins, bands, and cambered openings, also with brick dentil eaves. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles. The symmetrical south front elevation has two storeys and three windows, which are Victorian sashes in exposed frames. There is a Victorian porch with a moulded canopy supported by posts and a four-panelled door, which is accessed by older moulded stone steps. The other elevations include both sashes and casements. Inside, there is a plain original staircase and a large pumping machine from the late 19th century situated above a well.
