Description
Embley Coign and Embley Thatch is an old farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages. The main structure dates back to the 17th century and features a timber frame, with an 18th-century extension at the west end and a 19th-century extension at the east. The central section showcases exposed framing with painted brick infill, while the other walls are constructed of painted brickwork in English bond, with one outshot rendered. The building has a thatched roof with eyebrow dormers and two outshots that have tile roofs. It is a long, narrow building with one storey and an attic, displaying irregularly spaced casement windows. There are also two porches added in the 20th century.
