Description
East Dean House is a house from the late 18th century that was altered in the 19th century. It is built of brick in header bond and has an old plain tile roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a basement at the side and rear, and a lower 19th-century wing at the back. The front facade features five bays and includes an early 19th-century flat-roofed brick porch with corner pilasters and stone coping. There is a large six-panel door, with the bottom panels flush, located to the left of the centre. The end bays have full-height canted bays with flat lead roofs, narrow side sashes, and larger front sashes. The central bays contain five 12-pane sashes. The eaves are moulded timber, and the roof is hipped with stacks positioned behind the ridge at the end and centre bays.
