Description
The Cedars is an early 19th-century house located in Hurstbourne Tarrant. It is constructed of stucco with a slate roof. The house has a square plan with a lower rear wing. The symmetrical front elevation (facing south-east) comprises two storeys and has a 1-1-1 window arrangement. The low-pitched hipped roof has wide eaves, an eaves moulding, and a fascia that merges with thin, plain architraves. The ground floor bays have architraves, while a plinth runs along the base. The central section projects slightly and is flanked by pilasters with caps and panelled faces. The windows are sash windows set in reveals. The doorway features a stepped blocking course, a simple entablature, panelled pilasters with caps and bases, and a deep recessed entrance containing a half-glazed door.
