Description

Field House is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of painted brick and features a thatched roof. The front, facing southeast, has two storeys and four windows, with one window filled above the doorway. The roof is half-hipped, and the frame is exposed in the upper gables. The walls are built in Flemish bond with cambered openings, and the windows are casements. There is a plain doorway and a French door. On the west side, there is a low service building that has been converted into a garage and store; this building has a hipped thatch roof and walls made of cob on a flint base. Inside Field House, there is timber-framing and a massive chimney breast.
