Description
41 and 41A on London Street are early 19th-century buildings featuring a symmetrical facade on the south side. The structure is three storeys high with three windows and has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with plain wide eaves. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches and stone cills. The windows are sashes set in reveals, although the ground floor windows have altered walling. On either side of the ground floor are identical wooden doorcases in the Doric Order, which include open pediments with modillion and dentils on pilasters. The entrances are arched with panelled reveals, and there is a decorative fanlight above the entrance to 41A, along with six-panelled doors.
