Description

The wall and gatepiers extending southwards from the Priory are an early 19th-century structure that separates the garden front of the Priory from the service areas. The wall is made of brick with flint bands and features an entrance to the service area flanked by gatepiers. These gatepiers are square in section, constructed from red brick, and topped with ribbed ball finials above plain caps. They have plain bases and are adorned with a stone carved scroll ornament that connects each pier to the top of the wall.
