Description

This stable, located 50 meters northeast of The Old Rectory in Rockbourne, dates from the early 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure that is weatherboarded, with brick walls and a slate roof. The building has a two-storey central section that measures two bays by one bay and is topped with a hip roof. Surrounding this central part is a single-storey lean-to that is three bays by four bays, also with a hip roof. The front, which faces the Rectory, includes a lower section with double doors and a wide window above. On one side, there is a cob wall with a round window, while the other side has a brick wall. The central part has a weatherboarded first floor that features a Diocletian window, and the ground floor on one side is open.
