Description

The garden wall at Rockbourne Manor Farm dates from the 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered cob with brick piers and features tile and slate coping. The wall begins immediately southwest of the house, extending 70 meters south as a retaining wall for the lane leading to the church. It stands between 2 to 4 meters high, with brick piers placed at 5-meter intervals and slate coping on top. At the southern end, the wall turns west and continues downhill for 50 meters, maintaining a height of 3 meters, with some brick piers and tiled coping.
