Description

J R Hill, Stanford House (Number 12) is a building dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with grey headers and features a slate roof, with the north end wall hung in slate. The building has three storeys, although at the rear it is two storeys with a steeply pitched roof. There are two windows with barred sashes set in flush frames, and the garage doors are designed with arched lights.

J R Hill, Stanford House (Number 12), along with Nos 1 to 9 (consecutive) and Reedley House, forms an important group at this entrance to the town. This group is also connected to the listed buildings on Priestland Place and Highfield.
