Description
The Towers is a house designed in the style of a Tudor castle, built in the early 19th century. It features a main block that is two storeys high with a semi-basement, comprising three windows on the front, with an east side extension that has three additional windows. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a crenellated parapet with stone copings. There is a brick dentil band above two shallow half-octagon two-storeyed bays, which have pointed arches and stone cills. The ground floor has stucco features, including hood moulds and heavily cusped windows. A half-octagon stucco porch with brick dentil eaves has a small coupled round-headed light on the side and an arched opening with a quoin surround. The windows include Gothic sashes in reveals, some of which are original, along with some Victorian sashes and ground floor casements. At the west end, there is a three-storeyed tower with a crenellated top, and at the rear, a central round tower features a crenellated and machicolated parapet.
