Description

Nevills is an 18th-century building, originally occupied by G.B. Neville, a grocer. It is two storeys and an attic, with three windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, though the ground floor has been altered. The roof is red tile, hipped, and includes a new hipped dormer, finished with a fully-moulded modillion cornice. The walls are rendered with a plinth. The windows are sash windows in exposed frames. The doorcase features an open pediment resting on carved brackets, with plain panelled pilasters. The inner frame has a round head (now filled), and contains a six-panelled door. To the east is a late, single-storeyed outbuilding constructed of red brick with a tiled roof. On the west side, a lower two-storeyed wing is set back, with a modern shop front formed in the angle.
