Description
Burleigh is a 17th century building, with parts dating from 1714. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring four windows. The roof is made of red tiles, gabled at the south end, hipped at the north, with a catslide to the rear and low eaves on the outshot at the north-west corner. The structure is timber-framed, with some exposed framing on the north end, which is brick nogged. The main front faces east and is constructed in brickwork with Flemish bond, featuring a first-floor band and rubbed flat arches. In the upper wall, blue headers form large letters "I" and "K" along with the figures "1714." The building has casement windows, including two ground-floor sashes, one of which is old and the other new. The doorway has a solid frame with a canopy supported by carved brackets, and there is a small modern door on the north side.
