Description
Albion House is a house dating back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is a two-story, three-window building constructed using a three-unit timber frame with a lobby entrance, now largely concealed by later exterior finishes. The roof is covered in red tiles and is half-hipped at the ends, with a cat-slide at the rear, and features brick dentil eaves. The walls are roughcast. The windows are square-leaded casements, some of which are original. A plain door frame is present, with a circa 1900 canopy supported by brackets and a curved top. Internally, some timber framing is exposed, including a heavy cambered tie-beam in the middle truss, and a massive chimney breast. A modern two-story extension is located at the rear.
