Description

Black Kettle Antiques is a building that dates from the 15th, 16th, and 19th centuries, with an early 19th-century front. It has two storeys and four upper windows. The roof is covered with red tiles and features an eaves fillet. The walls are rendered, and the upper windows have sash frames that are exposed. The ground floor consists of a continuous shopfront with three windows, two of which are angular bays, and two entrances. This shopfront is framed by pilasters that support a cornice and frieze. At the rear, there is a large extension that retains its timber frame, which is exposed in the gables. Upstairs, there is a leaded casement window, a six-panelled door in a solid frame, a chimney breast, heavy beams, and a surviving late medieval casement window with diagonal wooden mullions.
