Description

The Cherry Tree is a late 17th and 18th century building on the north side of High Street, Odiham. Originally listed as number 84, then 86, and previously known as the Cherry Cafe, it now comprises Nos 90-98. The building has two storeys and seven windows. It features a large hipped roof covered in red tiles, a modern dormer window, and a fully-moulded cornice with modillions that returns to the west end. The walls are stuccoed with a plinth. It has Victorian sash windows. At the rear of the west end are two large red brick chimney shafts, each supporting three diagonal flues, with the southern set being original. Behind the main building is the upper portion of an old barn, distinguished by a red tiled half-hipped roof, a gabled entrance, weather-boarded gables, and upper walls. The ground floor has been recently replaced. A projecting wrought-iron bracket is positioned at the front of the building.
