Description

Gainsborough House and Pearson's, at numbers 67 and 69 Odiham High Street, are a timber-framed building with an 18th-century front. Originally dating to the 17th century, the building was refaced in the 18th century and now stands as two storeys with five windows. The roof is tiled, with a gabled east end and a hipped west end. The exterior is stuccoed, featuring segmental tops to the three ground floor window openings. These have radiating decoration within the curved spaces above, and stone sills. Victorian sash windows are set within the reveals.

Number 67 has a doorcase with an open pediment, a broken entablature, carved console brackets, panelled pilasters, and panelled reveals. A fanlight sits above an arched doorway, and a six-panelled door is accessed by stone steps. Number 69’s doorcase is similar, featuring a segmental open pediment supported by triple carved brackets, a broken entablature, Doric columns, panelled reveals, a fanlight above an arched doorway, and a six-panelled door above stone steps.
