Description

The Ivied Cottage is a building that dates from the 17th century and early 19th century. It has two storeys and features four windows. The roof is made of red tiles with scallop bonding and is hipped at the west side. The walls are rendered with a plinth. Modern metal casements have been installed in the windows. On the west side, there is an arched recess that contains a plain arched doorway, which has a fanlight above and a six-panelled door set on stone steps. The rear of the building has double gables that suggest earlier parts of the structure within. The rear elevation is timber framed.
