Description

The Old House is an early 19th-century building located on Eversley Street in Eversley. It is two storeys high and features a symmetrical front with a gabled, projecting two-storey centrepiece. The roof is covered with red tiles, and the gables have decorated bargeboards along with a shafted stack. The walls are rendered, with first-floor bands that are lower in the centre, extending around the sides, and second-floor bands located below the side gables, along with a plinth. The windows are casements with square-headed panes. The entrance is marked by a trellis porch topped with a coved metal hood. The building is associated with Charles Kingsley.
