Description

The Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and late 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, as well as sections of painted brick and painted weatherboard. There is a single-storey extension from the 19th century on the left side. The cottage has one and a half storeys and flanking chimneys. The front is two bays wide, with two-light 19th-century casement windows at the upper level, which are topped with eyebrow dormers. On the ground floor, there is a three-light window and a central ledged door, which is sheltered by a tiled lean-to porch roof supported on cut brackets.
