Description
Belswood House is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a symmetrical east-facing facade with three windows, flanked by set-back wings that each have one window. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and the building has side eaves. The brickwork is painted and laid in Flemish bond, with a plinth at the base. The windows are sash style, set in reveals, with three lights on the sides. A Tuscan porch with a fanlight is present above the round-headed doorway. Additionally, there is a small northward wing, which is the gable end of an earlier, smaller house that has been incorporated into Belswood House; this earlier house is two storeys lower and has a red tiled roof.
