Description
Bartlett's Farmhouse is a building that dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, with some modern additions. The main block is designed in the Tudor style, featuring narrow half-timbered wings on each end and a modern wing attached to the inner side of the east wing. The south front has two storeys and four windows, topped with a red tile roof and stepped stacks at each gable end, one of which has two diagonal flues. The earlier parts of the farmhouse are constructed with red brick in English bond, featuring one hood mould at the ground floor and small double attic openings that are now blocked. The upper parts of the wings reveal exposed timber framing with brick infill, while the other walls, including the south face, are in Flemish bond with a high plinth on the older sections. The windows are leaded casements, with some featuring old small lights, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame.
