Description
Arlots Farmhouse is a building dating from the late 17th century to the early 19th century. It has two storeys and features a porch with two sets of one windows. The central section is an old timber-framed structure that has undergone significant alterations, with wings added at each end around 1820. The farmhouse has a red tile roof, with the higher ends of the wings projecting slightly forward as gables adorned with bargeboards, and it includes two large chimney stacks. The central wall is constructed of red brick in English bond, while the wings are in Flemish bond. There are brick hood-moulds above six windows, and the ground floor wings have cambered openings, along with a cement plinth. The windows are casements. On the west side of the central section, there is a gabled two-storey porch that is timber-framed, featuring a four-centre arch and a plinth. The rear (north) side of the building is less regular, showcasing four gables with varying projections, one of which has exposed timbers. The older part of the farmhouse has a low eaves, and there is also a single-storey outshot.
