Hart Cottage is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has a red tile roof and a large chimney attached to the south gable. The exterior is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a band at the first floor on the east side and cambered openings. The windows are casements, and there is a canopy supported by curved brackets above the flush-panelled door.
