Description

Clappers Bridge, built in 1848, is a red brick structure featuring three small arches. It has a projecting band at road level and a parapet with a rounded top that extends outward at the ends, finishing on rectangular piers, each capped with white stone that has a bevelled edge. On the south side of the parapet, there is a recessed brick panel with a moulded edge, inscribed with the initials R H above the year 1848. Additionally, a small panel on the north face displays the initials J B.
