Description
Verneys is a building that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some modern additions. The older section is two stories high and features an exposed timber frame that rests on a plinth, with irregularly placed windows. It has a red tile roof that is half-hipped on the north side, while the gable end is covered in tile hanging. The infill between the timber frame is made of painted brickwork or render. The windows include casements, some from the 18th century and others that are modern. There is a plain door. A modern half-story block connects the old house to brick farm buildings, which have all been updated to create a single dwelling, although these buildings are not of special architectural interest.
