Description
Glebe House, built around 1800, is a two-storey building that was originally symmetrical in design. However, the eastern part has been later altered to feature a bow-shaped gable, and there is a taller extension on the east side. The house now has a window arrangement of 2-3-2. It has a red tile roof with a hipped design, including a curved hip over the front bow wall, and brick dentil eaves. The western side features brick walling with flat rubbed arches, while the rest of the building has a roughcast plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with shutters on the eastern extension. A wooden porch, which was originally centrally located, has a delicate cornice, reeded pilasters, an elliptical fanlight, and a half-glazed door. It is said that the house was built as the Vicarage in 1814.
