Description
No. 2 High Street is an 18th-century building that stands three stories tall. It is constructed of red brick, which extends up to a parapet topped with stone copings. The front of the building features three bays, with a three-panel door located to the east. This door is set within a panelled reveal and is adorned with a well-designed Doric porch. The porch includes fluted and half-reeded wall pilasters, along with two similar columns that support a hood. The hood has a panelled soffit and an entablature featuring a curved frieze, a dentilled and bracketed cornice, and a pediment. Access to the porch is provided by a flight of stone steps that run parallel to the front, accompanied by a plain wrought iron guard rail.
