Description

Alverbank House is a Grade II listed mansion located on Stokes Bay Road, built in 1842 for J W Croker. It is designed in a Romantic Tudor style and has two storeys with dormers. The house features a slate roof adorned with decorative barge boards on the gables and hood moulds above the mullioned windows. There are extensions that match the original style, including a porch added in 1912. The property also has an original terrace boundary wall that overlooks a moat, complete with corner abutments. Notable visitors to the house have included Peel and Wellington.
