Description
This small building, located approximately 5 metres north of the former gymnasium at the St Vincent Centre, is likely a former ammunition store associated with the gun training deck at the former Royal Marine Barrack. It dates from the mid to late 19th century and has been altered in the mid to late 20th century. The structure is built of red brick in English bond and features a Welsh slate roof. It is a single storey with two bays by one bay. On the south side, there are two inserted windows and a lower addition on the left that includes a door, which is not of special interest. The building has stone kneelers at the raised verges with stone coping. The right return has two slit vents with brick at the back for sideways ventilation into the store-room. The rear of the building is blind. This building is included for its group value.
