Description
Nos 28 to 34 on High Street in Titchfield are 18th century buildings. The facades show various materials: No 34 has some visible timber framing inside the passage, while No 28 is said to have a timber-framed section at the rear. The facade of No 28 is rendered, Nos 30 and 32 are made of painted brick, and No 34 is stuccoed. No 28 features an old tiled roof, while the others have tiled roofs. The buildings are two storeys high, with Nos 30 and 32 having an attic storey that includes two dormers. There are seven windows in total; No 28 has sash windows with glazing bars and a 19th century canted bay window with unbarred sashes and a balustrade. It also has a tent-shaped canopy and a pediment with brackets above the door. The other buildings have altered 19th century shop windows and sashes with late 19th century glazing. Nos 20 to 46, including the Bugle Hotel and its outbuilding, form a group, with Nos 44 and 46 being of local interest.
