Description

The Fareham Railway Viaduct, built around 1848, is a notable structure made of red brick featuring a white brick stringcourse. It has a parapet with stone coping. At the north-east end, the viaduct has seven round-headed arches that rise from the land. This is followed by a wider skewed arch that spans Cams Hill, along with two narrower blocked arches that are flanked by pilasters. The structure is completed by eight round-headed arches over the Cams or estuary of the Wallington River.
