Description
The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century building with later additions, standing two storeys tall. The long north front appears as two sections, featuring a window arrangement of 4-1-2, while the south front projects forward from the western section and has four windows. The building is topped with a slate roof, has gables, and brick dentil eaves. The walls are made of painted brickwork, with flat arches, stone cills, and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals. On the east side, there are two impressive doorcases, one with a pediment supported by three-quarter Tuscan columns, an arched fanlight, and a panelled door; the other on the west side features a broken pediment on brackets and an arched fanlight. The south front includes a convex-roofed verandah.
