Description

The Church of St Mary, located on Church Road in Eastleigh, was built in 1889 and 1909 by architect E P Warren. It features an early English chancel with traceried triple lights and a Geometrical east window. The nave includes a south aisle of four bays, designed in the style of the 15th century. The Perpendicular tower, added in 1909, is constructed with flintwork and stone dressings, and includes buttresses and a plinth line. The roof is made of red tiles and has a parapet over the aisle. Inside the tower vestibule, there are earlier wall tablets that may have come from the original church. The church houses two bells from 1598 and one from 1600.
