Description
West Horton Farm Cottages, also known as Nos 1 and 2, are a pair of cottages that date from the 17th century and later, originally built as one unit. They have two storeys and feature four windows across the front. The cottages are long and narrow, with timber framing that is brick-nogged, which is visible on the rear and side elevations. The front wall is constructed of blue header brickwork, accented with red flush quoins that vertically link the windows and a first-floor band. There is a deep plinth band made of Flemish bond brickwork, which is red with blue headers. The windows are casements, and there is a door canopy supported by brackets. The roof is covered with red tiles and has half-hips. To the north, there is a late 20th-century extension with two windows, made of plain brickwork.
