Description
Southdown Old Farmhouse is an 18th-century house that has undergone 20th-century restoration and extension. It is constructed of brick and tile and features a symmetrical front on the east side, which has two storeys and an attic with five windows. The roof is plain, with a catslide at the rear and three hipped dormers. The walls are built in header bond, with a band at the first floor, rubbed flat arches over the ground floor windows, and a plinth. The 20th-century casements are present throughout. The doorway is framed simply and includes a coupled fanlight, topped with a canopy supported by carved brackets, and features a six-panelled door, two of which are top-lit.
