Description

Upper Neatham Mill House is a late 17th-century and 18th-century house that was originally a water mill. The building is primarily brick with a tile roof. The south elevation is two storeys and attic in height, with five windows above three. A single-storey wing extends to the west. The roof is plain. The east end displays exposed timber framing with painted brick infill. The upper section of the south wall is tile-hung with scalloped bands, and the upper east gable reveals an attic window. The west side features painted brickwork in English bond, with cambered ground-floor openings, a plinth, and brick dentil eaves on the wing, which has a half-hipped roof. The windows are casements. A 6-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, is set within an architrave and has a 20th-century canopy supported by four posts. The north elevation is entirely of brickwork with altered features.
