Description

This is a late 18th-century cottage located on Finchdean Road, near Rowland’s Castle. The building is constructed of brick walls with blue headers and flush red dressings. Distinguishing features include a plinth, a band at first-floor level, quoins, and cambered brick arches over the ground-floor windows. The roof is tiled, and the south front is symmetrical, featuring two storeys and two windows. The windows are Victorian casements. A simple doorway is topped with a canopy supported by brackets, and has a 20th-century door. At the east end of the building is a single-storey service wing constructed of flint with brick quoins and a hipped tile roof.
